Xbox Live down for some?

Recommended Posts

I just got back from doing my paper round and my brother says that our 360 isn't connecting to Xbox Live. I've done all the possible methods of trying to fix it, but no luck. I did the test, and it says the 360 is connected to the wireless network, and the internet, but it can't connect to Xbox Live. I looked on the Xbox.com site to see if there are any current issues, and there are, but only for billing. It's definitely nothing to do with my connection, as the PC and the laptop here are connecting to the internet just fine, wired and wireless.

Anyone else having problems connecting to Live?

Yeah my friend Wing Wang just asked me on MSN, he's fine on all other connections, ie PC and laptops, but the 360 won't connect.

I'm down aswell, just look at Major Nelson's gamertag on his site, it's all greyed out with no gamerscore or recent games. Somethings up for everyone then :s

My brother had a look on the EA FIFA 09 forums and a lot of people are complaining they can't get on either. He told me that one regular user on that forum was playing online at the time, says he

, then after he scored it, he got disconnected from Live! :p

Seems everyone is experiencing issues, not only that everyone seems to have been demoted to silver status and all achievements etc have disappeared when you log into xbox.com. My sig looks fine though ....

If that were true, I wouldn't care that Live were down. In face, I don't really care now anyway. :p My brother was the one on the 360, and I'm downstairs watching Top Gear at the moment on Dave. I've got the PS3 downstairs, so if I wanna play online, I'll just go on the PSN! :D

Yup down for me, so bloody lame! Whats the betting they dont compensate us for the downtime. This is why i like blizzard, when their servers are down they give ya a free day!

Eh, i gave it a shot, it works again. The xbox live status page still says there is something wrong.

Might be intermittent?

I can't believe people like you who absolutely have to play on Xbox Live for what must be all the time because you can't handle a little bit of downtime. It's not that big of a deal. Play a single player game, or go outside or something. Your life shouldn't depend on whether or not you can play on Xbox Live 24-7 and Microsoft has no obligation to compensate for a slight hiccup. If the stuff is down for, say, upwards of a week, I would definitely want something in return, but not half a day.
