FaiKee
Received a email form MS Technet :o :o Special Beta Edition -- Correction Because you signed up to test the Windows 7 Beta, we recently sent you mail about the expiration dates for the Beta and Release Candidate. Unfortunately, we made a mistake. We said the Beta would start shutting down every two hours on June 1, 2009. The correct date is July 1, 2009. The rest of the dates in the mail were correct. Here?s a quick summary: ........

Subject Delta
If you are going to make a thread mocking the mistakes of others, next time try titling your thread correctly ;) MS have done it again: a mistake in their email on Win7 Beta, wrong expiry date Easy error to make though, was probably typed in haste. Remember, the people that work at Microsoft are human too :p

FaiKee
Haha!! Suddenly it became a talk in U.S. & conventional English grammar lol?? Actually I was not trying to mock MS mistake, they have confessed it. I was wondering if this one could provide some material for the news guys.

FaiKee
Sorry guys if the title sounds midleading, I meant MS making public mistakes, not particularly "making mistake in an email announcement". Two came to my mind: 1. Posting an annoucement "dated May" in March; 2. A hotfix download/install that requires "Vista SP3". There may be more, but I don't want to strain my memory. Caveman-ugh
Haha!! Suddenly it became a talk in U.S. & conventional English grammar lol?? Actually I was not trying to mock MS mistake, they have confessed it. I was wondering if this one could provide some material for the news guys. At least they were big enough to admit their mistake, I personally don't see what is so wrong. And talking of how big Microsoft is.... for a big comapny ....any company ....let alone microsoft (who generally NEVER admits they made a mistake). I feel that Microsoft has done the right thing in informing people anyway. If it was the Microsoft of old they would never have bothered.... but it seems these days Microsoft has changed and is trying to do the right thing ! Good on ya Microsoft ! theyarecomingforyou
If you are going to make a thread mocking the mistakes of others, next time try titling your thread correctly ;) Has is correct - you are referring to a company, not the individuals of which it is comprised. But using 'have' is acceptable because it flows better and is more personal, even if not technically correct. As far as I'm aware this isn't a US / UK issue. And even if the original poster were to have used the incorrect grammar is it really necessary to criticise them so harshly?
