Subject Delta
I just hope they fix up some bugs I found. Little ones, but that were not around before.Like the damn audiodg.exe high % CPU use with Realtek HD sound cards. Haven't seen that issue and I have an ALC890 which is a HD card. Could you be more specific about the cause so I can see if I can reproduce it? Also, there isn't going to be an RC2 build, 7100 is the last one that will get a public release
Brendando
Frank, this second RC is widely rumoured to be closed to the public - so yes, 7100 is the last PUBLIC release, but there may well be closed second "RC".
Subject Delta
I don't believe there is going to be a second RC, I am pretty sure one wasn't planned anyway, public or otherwise

Uninstall the driver that Windows Update installed and go getthe driver direct from Realtek. That will fix it. (I have Realtek Audio working on Windows 7 flawlessly by doing so.) pauliewog_29
Here is something I just seen on another site Confirmed Date of Expected Windows 7 RTM Before I say anything else, I will say that this informtion is based on an internal document from a close Microsoft Partner. This date has been consistent for 2 months. Of course, if there are any sort of show stoppers, this date is subject to change, and we will be sure to nofity you if there are any changes. June 30th will be the date the code for windows 7 will be signed off and released to manufacturing. This news comes from one of Microsoft's very close partners and we here at Win7Vista are the first to provide it to you. Attached below is a graphic direct from this partner (with some modifications so we don't reveal the source, as this is obviously very confidential information). This graphic also reveals that Windows 7 will enter a code frozen RTM escrow on June 7th. You may notice it lists the RC date as April 23. This is in fact the day the code for RC was signed off, 2 days later than it was built. We have no way of telling you the exact date the RTM willl be built, but we expect it to be 1-2 days before the sign off date of June 30. This date comes as no surprise as Microsoft tends to have a habit of signing off RTMs on the last day of the month. Here at Win7Vista we will do our best to be the first to provide you the RTM as soon as we have our hands on it. http://win7vista.com/index.php?topic=7407.0 If someone already posted this my bad! lol

Chris123NT
the "chinese" changelog is a fakelog...sure they will use aero diamond a .net explorer and WinFS ... rofl Yeah my sentiments exactly. I have concluded over the past few months that all the chinese do is post false information to throw everyone off track (or try to at least). Most of the information that wzor posts is accurate, so I would stick to them as a source for information going forward ;). cnbeta = noobs. FaiKee
My guess is that there could be some mix-up's, with so many branches going: the RC, RTM & SP. This is pure speculation: - The changelog if existed, couldn't be for the RC or RTM. - The changelog if existed, might be for the SP, which has to go thru all those beta/RC phases, and it could take a year or two to final......then it makes better sense.
