Zickar
Its really embarassing to post about a game as minimal as Duotris when you see so many people interested in the latest heavy gaming Experiences full of 3d settings and smooth graphics ... I never really beared to play a game longer than a few mins but I always enjoyed casual games that you can pause midway through the game , filled with small levels , simple gameplay , not too much complexity ... In that sense I've always been a fan of Games Like Tetris , Or Games Exactly Like Tetris to be exact ... My Highscores were a source of pride and joy for my father who used to rub them in my relatives' noses when I was young , usually because I sucked at everything else and Tetris was hip back then ... Its been a long time since I saw a real remake or a twist added to the original game until I stumbled upon Duotris , which basically sees you navigating two bricks on two oppoite panels seperated by a line at the same time , you navigate one brick per panel at the same time and there are no more classical shaped like the T and l you were used to in Tetris with block formations , Tiles are removed based on color , three or more tiles of the same color that is ... The game might have a logical explanation to the chaos the game seems in when you start , the colors keep changing , Things keep exploding , Strange power ups flip your cobtrols ... All ofcourse is deliberate I know and all adds to the chaotic feeling of this lovely game built around a brilliant track of music ... No setup is needed , Just download and extract the folder from the main page : http://www.binaryzoo.com/games/duotris/index.htm The site also has a few other games including a remake of the Asteroid game with a twist
