Halo: Reach?

*sigh* Typical. Every Halo thread gets off-track with abuses.

Anyways, Bungie said that Halo 3 would be the last game they would make for the Haloverse, and Halo 3: ODST is just like an expansion.

Halo: Reach may be Jackson's project, or who knows, a movie.

Oh. My God.

And you just said exactly what I've been saying all along -- that the 3 episodes make up a full game. Had they stuck with the plan, no, it would not have changed my thinking because it would've been the equivalent of the next full game in the Half-Life series coming out 3 1/2 years after its predecessor. Not every other year.

How can you say you didn't bring cost into the mix when you do it yet again by saying cutting up and selling it in part isn't any different? And I don't disagree with you -- it's not. That's what I've been saying all along. I'm glad got it.

Yet my original post said that it's not just HL1 2 and the eps (3 if you will), They did 2 or 3 half-life 1 games as well. If you want to consider those as just simple expansion packs and not full games that's up to you though.

I looked at all of them together, not just the eps.

That would be awesome! the book was epic and I reckon it would make an awesome game (even if it's based around another Spartan - as Bungie said no more Master Chief). If this is real, I'd buy it in an instant  (along with ODST of cause!).

Funny part: John 117 does not become Master Chief Petty Officer till the very end of "Fall of Reach". Going by memory here but I am pretty sure.

They never said that. They made it quite clear to say Halo 3 was the last game for this story arc. There are plenty of other stories to tell that take place in the Halo universe.

Wtf, a Wii game? It's using the Halo 3 engine, it's nowhere near close to a Wii game.

It's still an expansion to Halo 3, so I pressume a lower price tag. Not sure what figures were ever announced.

o_____O

Each to their own :p

I hope it has a lower price tag, I'll be buying it for sure. The Reach MP beta code is a nice bonus :D

yeah maybe I was exaggerating a little. But the gameplay they showed today looked very anticlimactic. On the bright side, the art direction reminded me a lot of the metroid prime series.

As far as the price, I could have sworn I saw an article somewhere months ago that it's going to be something like $29.99

I haven't even finished Episode 1. :p I'm stuck on a bit where there's a sniper near the top of a building opposite where I come out with Alyx and I can never get past or defeat him.

I guess I should read 'Fall of Reach' now, I'm assuming the storyline will be pretty close to the book.

OMG YES!

Granted I'm a video game nerd, always have been however the thought of moving past the games into ooks for additional story etc was somewhat pushing it in my opinion; boy was I wrong.

Fall of reach is an excellent novel, even if your not big into the game (obviously you are or you wouldn't be here right now).

I'm not sure which is better, reading the book or playing the game; the descriptions and story progression are well constructed and very smooth.

Keys' Loop = FTW!
