Home Made Windows 7 Utilities (made my rainchild)

Recommended Posts

These utilities are HOMEMADE and are not from microsoft, but are small little programs that make a couple of things a little easier.

1. QuickFolder -<snipped>

This program allows you to basically pin a folder to the start menu and not have it appear under the explorer Quick Launch button.

You simply place the program in the folder you want to pin to Quick Launch, then pin the program(shortcut to) to Quick Launch.

You can then customize the shortcut icon to your liking.

Future update will not show the CMD window at launch.

2. LogonUI -<snipped>

This program allows you to enable or disable the changing of the log on screen background.

It also lets you select an image and it will rename, and copy it to the correct folder.

At this point, the image must already be under 256 kb, and it does not check to make sure it is the correct size/resolution for your application.

Future updates will auto re-size and shrink the image size to allow it to work.

I don't understand why that thread was closed. I'm trying out QuickFolder right now. Would be great if it had icon changing capabilities

Barney's power happy. Rainchild didn't say it was from MS and he locked it with some irrelevant retort.

"Hey guys here's some programs I thought you might find useful"

"Not from MS, go die. Locked"

I am not power happy at all. Utilities for Windows 7 are not normally downloaded through Rapidshare. In addition, one of the utilities is found on SourceForge, so it is suspect at best.

If you want to continue this thread, please contact a Supervisor. We are only trying to protect our members here as well as we do not want to be legally in jeopardy for hosting files from MS that are illegal.
