Windows 7 Release Candidate 2 (RC2) desktop video leaked

I also doubt there is even a 7224 build....

so there was no 7224 on the 28th.

they jumped the builds from 7141 to:

6.1.7141.0.winmain.090528-xxxx

6.1.7225.0.winmain.090529-хххх - actual build in winmain branch, other build is FAKE!

6.1.7225.0.winmain_sp.090529-хххх - actual build in winmain_sp branch

It might not be RC2, but somewhere I do believe it's real.

Computex09, could you show a screenshot with the version number of Paint/Internet Explorer/Windows Media Player? And maybe a screenshot that shows the Original Installation Date (for that, open CMD and type systeminfo)

Maybe user error bro'.

You are in an underwhelming minority there .... I've not had a single blue screen with Windows 7 since I installed the Beta 1 back when they released it in Jan ... and I'm using and have been since then, as my main OS. :)

Yeah since their info has been 100% correct for the last several month. I like how they are also fighting fakes...

better than insiders who do not post any info and let people download fakes with trojans inside... make of that what you want.

Cool... a video of an image...

The "registered to" name is censored, and I'm not a professional, but it look more like an image pre-censored than a re-edited video to censor it.

It look just like http://i40.tinypic.com/1tnb7s.jpg

7200 should be RTM from what i know, not RC2 , but hell... from my perspective they can release the RTM in 2011 as long as it will be rock solid and reliable.

Unless Microsoft removed the "*32" designation from 32-bit processes running on 64-bit Windows (as shown by the "amd64fre" tag in the winver.exe screenshot), this is about as fake as Pamela Anderson's breasts.

winver native dialog on x86-64 windows .

so it should be 64bit process

Now guys, it's likely that this is fake for a number of reasons. I really don't know if it's real or not, but let me say something:

Those of you who "know" it is fake because of third-party software and customized wallpaper/icons are pitiful. Give me a break. Have you never installed a program that didn't come with Windows? Have you ever changed the wallpaper or icons from the stock, packaged ones? Oh, most of you do? Huh. Enough said.

Now, frankly, I don't care if it's real or not, because I don't see anything changed from previous builds. I'm only really interested in new builds when I can see the improvements that have been made.

While the build may be legit (who knows at this point). In the future, if you're going to post screenshots of a build, don't gank it up with custom wallpapers and icons.

Anyway, it isn't RC2. Microsoft would never release an RC2 (let alone an RC/official beta) build directly out of winmain. It would come from another lab designation, like winmain_win7rc.
