Is Neowin going to switch to Windows 7?

Just trying to start some conversation, are you all going to switch to Windows 7 when its released as a Final?

I will still keep using Windows Vista for a little while longer after Win7 is released, how about all of you? :)

I'm really impressed with Win7. I'm currently using RC as my main OS. It's way ahead of Vista in performance. Not much of a gamer anymore though so I don't have to worry about that. Use to I would wait for that reason.

I'm running the RC on my laptop, and I've got to admit that I just love it. I will install it on all my computers when it is released.

Using Win7 as main OS since public beta (Build 7000), works fine. Huge improvement over Vista which was nothing but a royal pain in the ass when it was released :x

as soon as its RTM i'm going to check compatibility with my firewire FA-66 soundcard, trigger finger midi, and behringer bcf2000, if its all spiffy im going to upgrade...however, i can't use a computer if my music making peripherals don't work.

they all have vista drivers so im sure it will be fine :D

Already switched to and so it will continue. Faster (sometimes) than XP, nicer (greatly) than Vista. If MS will not set insanely high prices - it would be a wonderful OS.

I'm switching! In fact, I am already on 7 RC right now and don't plan on moving back to Vista at all! :)

Running Windows 7 RC now as my primary OS and will be switching to RTM once it becomes available on my MSDN Academic Alliance account.

I've already long since switched to Windows 7 as my primary and sole OS. Installing the RTM when it's released is inevitable.

It would probably be the first windows since 95 that i'd buy before a service pack was released.

I'll switch over to it, and pay for the ultimate edition most likely (had xp license from school before, never used vista)

Ultimate won't be in Retail, but you're not really missing out on anything if you're using Professional unless you're gonna use Applocker or Enterprise-wide search etc...

I don't know, but one thing is sure, there will be more switches to 7 than what Vista got at release :p

I'm not going to switch on this computer, but if I build/buy a new one in the future I will definitely :)

My graphics card & sound card are both not recognised by 7, so the largest resolution I can get is 1024 x 768 (on a 19" monitor), and I have no sound on it :(

You know... You can update drivers...

If your computer meet 7's req. you should have drivers available.

Vista Drivers should work also.

IT are perfectly happy to support it, and I'm perfectly happy to utilise it.
