StaticL
Been using Win 7 RC build for a wile with no problems but recently i noticed it pauses (seems like windows explorer) when moving/copying/renaming file(s). I don't believe its my hard drive since the HDD is fairly new and i defragged my comp, it seems to only pause doing those actions during normal use it runs fine. Anyone else having this problem or know any solutions.
BillyJack
I have the same thing on mine. I just installed the OS and have all the drivers installed. Because my OS has just been installed it would indicate it is not a defrag problem. All of my hardware is brandnew including my hard drives and the hardware was fine under Vista. Besides if we both have the same issue it would indicate that it is more likely a problem with Windows 7. Anyone else have problems or a fix. StaticL
I was actually more worried it was my HDD and it would soon die loosing all the data i cannot get back like what happend early this year. I found it weird doing that now, it was so snappy and responsive before. I would would copy and paste something and sometimes i couldnt even see the files until I refreshed it and it would just sit there after renaming something, hope someone knows a fix it's pretty aggravating. BillyJack
Yes everything you mentioned occurs on my system too and like I said I have all new hardware. It is annoying copying and pasting and having to wait even for small files. Worse is when I rename something and it hangs before completing the rename.
