Lee G. Veteran Posted June 1, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 1, 2009 You cannot do that. You would have to download the leaked build. Please do not ask where and how you can download it though, as that is against Neowin's rules ;)
bloo_df
i know but when i got the version how i update? just boot with the DVD or there is anyother way?
Lee G. Veteran Posted June 1, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 1, 2009 Oh, I see. Yes, you would need to boot with the DVD, and select upgrade, or you could mount the ISO image and run the setup within the OS.
lee31
Just use setup.exe in the iso file and choose the upgrade option from there. No need to burn to a dvd.
Livin in a box
i know but when i got the version how i update? just boot with the DVD or there is anyother way?Burn it to DVD and run it. Every build is like a new OS, in that it has to be either upgraded to or clean installed to get on.
chrismaddern
Upgrading 7100 to anything > shouldn't be a problem; just start it from windows with setup.exe
JessicaD
Bloo_df, Please remember that currently only build 7100 (Windows 7 RC) is supported via Microsoft support. Any other revision could potentially have security holes and viruses embedded. For more information on Windows 7RC and the security features it offers head on over to Microsoft Springboard. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/dd361745.aspx Jessica Microsoft TechNet / Springboard v-jedeen@microsoft.com
