bob_c_b
I'm at work so I'm just reading live blogs, but I'm still not sold on motion control, feels very "me too" but I'm not shocked they are working on it.
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted June 2, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted June 2, 2009 This does look really good. You need buttons for FPS and what not.
macrosslover
thats because the playstation one is still in its engineering stages. so is Natal. that said in Sony and Nintendo's defense, I don't think anybody expected the Natal to be what it turned out to be. If the behind closed doors demonstrations to select reporters turns out to be true than that is going to be huge imo. I think the feeling of blah you all are getting is because it Sony just basically ripped completely what Nintendo did and doesn't seem like they improved it at all. Ayepecks
This rapes the wii-mote, but the controllerless 360 demonstration was better IMO. How is this any better than the Wii mote? It's going to be fail. Just like the motion controller that launched with the PS3 was. Calling it now. lol

Unrealistic
This does look really good. You need buttons for FPS and what not. FFS, give it a rest for once! It's Wii Motion Plus.

+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted June 2, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted June 2, 2009 FFS, give it a rest for once! It's Wii Motion Plus. Hi Spartan ;) Wii motion plus doesn't do 3D tracking. You need a camera for that, not a light sensor.
Spookie
This smacks the Wii upside down, but its not as good as the Xbox 360 one. lol no. Wii motion plus looks better than this. MS knocks both out of the park though.

Unrealistic
Hi Spartan ;)Wii motion plus doesn't do 3D tracking. You need a camera for that, not a light sensor. I'm not spartan, lol. The Sensor bar has two sensors, which could theoretically combined with Wii Motion Plus could calculate depth, distance and location.
sn00pie
VERY impressed by all this. The wii just got smoked to be honest.

+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted June 2, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted June 2, 2009 Then what do you call the led's and the infrared sensor in the wiimote? Did you watch the demonstration? It was tracking crouching/walking around a room. The Wii doesn't do that as well, it can't without a camera.
