Lord Ba'al
How does the saying go? If it rains, it pours :pinch: Besides the usual annoyances of the network connections, in 7137 it now decided to put the icing on the cake, so to say :x As usual after a new install, I've created a new PppoE broadband Dsl connection to connect to the internet, entered name and password and checked the checkbox to save those details. In all builds up to 7127, this was all I needed to do. It would always save the name and password, and I just had to click "Connect" in the Connect dialog where it presents me with my saved name and password. In 7137 however, the Connect dialog *always* comes up with the Name and Password fields being blank and the checkbox to save them unchecked! No matter if I check the checkbox to tell it to save them for me only or for all users, it *always* comes up again with name and password blank! :pinch: I've already tried rebooting, but that didn't help either. I've then several times deleted the connection and re-created it all anew again, variously with the option to allow all users to use the connection and without, even with rebooting after creating the connection, but it's still no use  No matter what I do, it persistently refuses to save my name and password, and the Connect dialog every single time comes up with the Name and Password fields being blank and the checkbox to save them unchecked! It's really granting on my nerves to have to fill in name and password every single time I want to connect to the internet :pinch: This bug is new to 7137 - as I said, it worked fine in any build up to 7127. n3ptun3
You can create a shortcut on your desktop or start menu and type this in: rasdial.exe "Connection name" username password It doesn't fix the problem, but is a lot better than having to type it every single time you turn on your computer. Lord Ba'al
sorry for hijacking, but is it really worth upgrading to 7137, i have rc 7100.did you notice any benefitts, any improvements? Nothing too obvious. Does the same thing here for my VPN connection... PITA Just create a shortcut like this, works fine  rasdial.exe "Connection name" username password (e.g. rasdial.exe "Dsl internet" janedoe 123456) You can even pin it to the taskbar and be connected with a single click :woot: (If you create a shortcut from the connection itself, you can't pin it to the taskbar.) You can also create a shortcut for disconnecting, also with a single click: rasdial.exe "Connection name" /disconnect (e.g. rasdial.exe "Dsl internet" /disconnect)

Lord Ba'al
And what about 7201? People say they have the same problem there... could anyone prove it? I think that tip should work in 7201 just as well - I'll try it as soon as I have 7201 installed.
