Displaying more than 2 power plans in taskbar icon

Recommended Posts

How do I do this? I have 4 power plans, 3 preset (modified), and one of my own. Problem is that the 2 options in the taskbar list never stay the same, and it's driving me crazy. It's irritating to switch from Power Saver to High Performance only to find that Power Saver isn't on the list when you want to revert and are have to go to 'More Power Options' to do this.

Is there any tweak or setting that will allow this?

I am sure it is possible as OEMs can do it and I have seen it on their laptops which has more than 2 plans. I face the same problem and I have yet to find the solution.

They mentioned that they would address this in one their progress posts on the Engineering 7 blog. I was surprised they didn't in the RC. Hope they remember. If anything bring back the vista default of at least 3.

Yeah, the Vista default was fine. I also wouldn't mind only the two if they would just stay constant. I mostly switch between Power Saver and High Performance, Balanced is rarely used, but they still change. That's the irritating thing.

Another option would just be to add an expandable list under the main two options in the taskbar icon list itself. That would also suffice. The current way is just plain stupidity.
