HughW
When I am playing UT3, either in the corners with weapons etc, or when I make the final capture, the whole game crashes, and I lose the progress for the whole round(campaign mode). This is on a Sony Vaio VGN-NR21ZT, 3gb RAM, Nvidia Geforce 8400M, with W7. I put it on this forum because I think the problem is related to windows, and not so much to the game. All and any help would be apreciated. Hughw Edited June 2, 2009 by HughW
Udedenkz
You could avoid the problem by not using a beta OS.

Minifig
You could avoid the problem by not using a beta OS. Cut that **** out. Seriously. How would you like it if I followed you around and said for all of your problems "You could solve a lot of your problems by not being a douche."? Hugh, navigate to your UT3.exe in the steam directory, and right click it, Compatability Mode- Vista Service Pack 2, or XP Service Pack 2. Apply, then try it again. Let me know if that fixes it. It did for me when I was running the game on the three day free weekend.

Hughw Well I can't say much to help but I have been running UT3 (Steam version) perfectly fine on Windows 7. I would guess your problem is hardware/driver related, but did you install the Directx that comes with UT3? I had to install it before I could even get UT3 to run, which I wasn't expecting as Win 7 comes with DX11. Also are you running 32 or 64 bit Windows 7? I am actually quite inclined to blame it on drivers, as I had to get the from laptopvideo2go.com because the ones sony releases are so ridiculously out of date, and UT3 said it wouldn't launch 'til I installed a newer driver. HughW
MORE INFO: After applying compatibility settings, the crashes now only happen in the base(power node) in the Torlan Delta map. HughW
