DrunknMunky Veteran Posted June 7, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 7, 2009 Looking good, considering it's age :p
The Teej
Ooooh, this looks quite good! The graphics seem old enough to make it feel like you're playing a classic game, but not old enough so you'll go "OH MY GOD IT BURNS MY EYES!". They've definitely seemed to get the right balance. One assumes this'll have Online Play, and if so, I'll be purchasing this :D Is this actually the full game?
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted June 7, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 7, 2009 I've never known them to release half a game on XBL Arcade :p My guess would be yes  :p
Sethos
Perfect Dark Prologue! I heard many positive things about this game, perhaps this is an opportunity to finally try it >.>
The Teej
I've never known them to release half a game on XBL Arcade :pMy guess would be yes  :p I dunno, for some reason, I can't get Goldeneye Source out of my head, which is only half a game  @Sethos - Yes, and now it can be played at a full 60 FPS (as opposed to the awful frame rate that was on the N64 original). Skulltrail
I agree. I too better see a "graphic overhaul" if they plan to make PDZ2 any good.
George P Global Moderator Posted June 7, 2009 Global Moderator Share Posted June 7, 2009 Ok, so just to make sure I have this right, PDZ is the prequel, and they're going to make a PDZ2 right? So even that takes place before the original PD? So, story wise, there is no sequel yet.
coresx
Here's some images From Gamersyde Comparison from N64. Rare have done well.
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted June 7, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 7, 2009 Good job posting the original shots, definitely makes the comparison better
Wakers
I swear I have video game amnesia :D Without the comparison, I was thinking..gee, that looks almost the same as it did on the N64! I saw screenshots of Goldeneye 64 a couple of days ago and found myself thinking; "I don't remember it being that blocky!" Also, for the love of God Rare, DO THE SAME WITH GOLDENEYE! Knightwolf20024
one of my favourite n64 games and they tried it with goldeneye but nintendo blocked its release. http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3165391

JustGeorge
^^ I think Nintendo is hoarding the License to make sure that doesn't ever happen.
Ayepecks
Looks really nice. I'm still holding out that Rare will release that rumored Perfect Dark sequel with a grittier vibe than PD: 0. Such a letdown...
Lamp0
Comparison from N64. Rare have done well. I don't think Rare are actually doing this port.
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted June 7, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 7, 2009 Nope Rare aren't porting it, it;s 4j Studios again. They ported Banjo 1 & 2 to XBLA.
Black Flash
I'm definetly looking forward to this. This, Golden Eye, Pokemon Stadium 1/2, The Zelda games and Conkers Bad Fur day are what I Remember most from the N64 days.

Guyro
does anyone remember in the multiplayer you could be one of the heads of nintendo i think his name was ?Shigeru Miyamoto? do you think he'll still be in the game?
Dead_Monkey
Apologies if I've already posted this in this thread, but if you're a Goldeneye fan and haven't played Wolfenstein for Xbox, give it a shot (it's BC for 360). Closest thing I've played to Goldeneye, someone on that team was a real fan for sure.
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted June 8, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 8, 2009 ^ you mean Return to Castle Wolfenstein Tides of War. Wolfenstein is the new game out later this summer. Wolfenstein 3D is the classic "3D shooter".
