Ctrl + C/V or Right-click > Copy/Paste. This is not Windows XP. Adapt or perish.

hdood
I believe the buttons and their actions are implemented by the namespace handler that is being used to display the current view, and so are pretty much uncustomizable. It's one of my least favorite things about Vista/7. Why can't I have a delete button if I want? Maybe it'll show up right after they fix the "Open" icon on executables... Calum Veteran Posted June 3, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 3, 2009 If you can't customise the toolbar / if it is impossible, then unfortunately for you, you will have to get used to the keyboard shortcuts. There is no other way to quickly copy and paste, I'm afraid. 'Ctrl+C' copies whatever you would like and 'Ctrl+V' pastes it. Try it out for a bit and in a short while, I'm confident you will get used it to :) It's actually quicker than even having buttons on the toolbar. Obviously I'm suggesting this as a last resort, if you cannot customise the toolbar in any way, as I recognise that is what you'd rather do. Ohh. you mean, Right click > New ... and then Click folder. That would have saved me time if i created a New folder button on command bar. There does exist one.. but its under Organize which is more time... but all in the end i need to try traditional method and i'll get used to it i believe? ;) </s

I only suggested you use them as a last resort as they will help you achieve the task you wish, just as quickly as adding a button to the command bar would. I suggested it as a last resort because it's evident that adding a button to the command bar may not be possible at all. I was only trying to help :) You didn't even mention you wanted a 'New Folder' button on there anyway, but there is a 'New Folder' button on the command bar whenever you are viewing the Windows Explorer folder directories, in Windows 7. You only have to click 'Organise > New Folder' in Windows Vista. Edited June 3, 2009 by Calum

Yes, they really messed up there :x No only that the items on the toolbar are mostly useless, but also you can't easily customise it :pinch: Have fun: http://www.aeroxp.org/2008/06/custom-explorer-buttons/Credits to Ave. Interesting... somewhat longwinded, and doesn't work for some things (like cut/copy/paste buttons), but better than nothing.
