Changes in build 7201?

Recommended Posts

WinSAT does have value, but it's being used wrong. It's meant for people to have a simple idea about what is/might be slowing down your computer. It's not a benchmarking tool or anything.

So can anyone confirm the "speedier" than previous builds talk? I also want to know, do post RC builds have debugging code in it. I'm trying to know if the code is fully optimized after RC build other than any bugs etc. they find ofcourse.

Is it finally clear what's the truth behind milestone 72xx?

I don't know what to believe at this point. Is it for a separate line of work on SP1 (something it sounds really weird)?

Is there any final word about all this?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for possible mistakes in the writting.

From i understand Windows 7 already reached RTM but Microsoft is not putting finally signature on they are still testing it. On the other hand they are already in SP1 development.

no of course not, it's placebo just like every other build being "faster" was.

I'm on 5.9 with 2 raptors in Raid 0.

Yes, it's messed up. It seems to me they took the very same HD tests that were already in Vista Rtm and put them unchanged into Win7, so it's very easy to get close to 5.9 even with older, slower HDs, but no HD can get over 5.9, no matter how fast :pinch:

Probably they simply didn't bother to write new tests for HDs to better represent their performance and only added a little testing for ssd drives so those can get over 5.9.

WinSAT does not support SLI or CrossFire, and it should support these in these days. Or it will cause misthoughts that which computer is fast for customers...

After 2-3 years i still can't find any reason to run Vista over XP left alone Windows 7.

And he's running Vista x64 on his i7 system according to his signature. !

Windows 7 rocks and is going on my system when it gets released in October!

He might of meant whens its released. Get off your high and mighty who cares what someone does anyway. Who made you God worry about your self and start to make the world alittle better. Too many police on this site. Oh sorry about that stutter didn't know it happens when you type.

isn't "pirating" and asking for support against neowins guidelines?

Therefore it does have some concern here

As for too many "police" here, I feel more could be done to clean some of these topics :D

By the way, pretty sure Shaun_ is not "pirating" anything, so this is just confusion ;)

How would buying Windows 7 on October 22, then installing it be considered pirating?

Let alone the way he thinks "left alone" is the proper term.

No they aren't at RTM and they're nowhere near SP1... Why would they start on a service pack before something isn't even released?

eh this thread isn't about me, I was asking "Living in a box" to Elaborate his claims that someone said its "going on my system when it gets released in October!" means he is going to Pirate the software.

Thanks for sticking up for me though :D

Where did I say that? NO it won't be pirated at all, I will be purchasing it like I did with Vista when that was released!

And thanks to all the guys who asked him to elaborate! :D
