Win7 (RC1) and Msn Live Messenger issue...

Recommended Posts

ok this has been annoying me for a few days now. Had to do a reinstall of Win7 on my laptop (new harddrive) Now normally I have no issues with anything running on Win7 but MSN Live Messenger is getting the best of me. Everytime I try and run the setup to download the Live apps to install I get the error "OnCatalogResult: 0x80072eef" And it tells me to check my connection.

Now first off yes I'm on a network with a router but the settings are all the same as before (minus that I changed to WPA2-Personal) Other then that nothing has been changed config wise from when it was working correctly before. I've gone as far as even going back to normal WPA to see if that would work but it did not. I can connect to the net just fine (being as I'm posting here) I've installed Yahoo MEssenger as well as other programs and so far no other issues. I though it could of just been an install mistake I wiped the HD and did another clean full install and still nothing works. I've removed the laptop from the network and hardwired to the Cable modem and still same error. I'm stumped on this before I got my new HD everything was fine never really any major issues with anything now this one is bugging me.

Anyone have any ideas at all?

Thanks in advance btw for any help.

Edit: Fixed it myself.../hands myself the dunce cap......
