macrosslover
so if e3 is only open to industry people, htf did they get in -_-. the e3 group, I think it's the ESA i forget whatever is full of ****. there's no reason they can't give the public at least one day of viewing. that off my chest I want to see somebody who's never played a video game using natal. bring out the "old lady" and let's see how well she does. Obviously natal is aimed at capturing a broader more casual market, so it would make sense to me to show people who generally don't play video games using it rather than people we can all agree have probably played alot of video games. Don't be so sure. If you pull out all the newbies and grandmas, then the serious gamers will just accuse Natal of taking the Nintendo route. I get the impression Microsoft isn't trying to simply create a new gaming market with a new niche, but change the entire way we think about playing video games, at that HAS to include hardcore gamers as well. I don't disagree with you..but look at their original promo video for natal. It's "all-inclusive". they focused more on the parents and the daughter gaming and doing non-gaming stuff than they did on the son doing anything. Ambroos
I totally wish I could play World of Warcraft with Natal :D That would be SOOO completely awesome (combine it with voice recognition and bam)
George P Global Moderator Posted June 7, 2009 Global Moderator Share Posted June 7, 2009 I'm sticking by my opinion that you can make and use parts of not all of natal for a "hardcore" game. It just depends how creative the game developers can be with it.
Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted June 7, 2009 Global Moderator Share Posted June 7, 2009 This thing is amazing, but the pricing on it will probably be around the $400 US mark. I can't wait to see what comes out for it
spenser.d
This thing is amazing, but the pricing on it will probably be around the $400 US mark. I can't wait to see what comes out for it The guy from the Xbox conference (I forget which one exactly) already hinted that it's going to be less than $200. I think his actual words were that they didn't want it to cost as much as their cheapest console. -Spenser
Sethos
Simple logic would tell you it wouldn't be $400. This thing isn't meant to be an exclusive product for people with money, it's supposed to be an accessible product, designed to grab the attention of you, me and especially the casual crowd. chrismaddern
It's all software - a couple sensors in a bar, with a couple CMOS's and the rest is all handled in (very clever) software from what they said. So... should be pretty affordable.. I would hope to see ~?100 so ~$150 ish for you guys. Otherwise it's a whole other console !
