OS X feels slow

Recommended Posts

I have a MacBook running OS X 10.5.7, and lately it has felt a bit slow. There is nothing in Activity monitor that is taking a lot of CPU, I/O or RAM, but it feels doggy for some reason.

I have done the normally recommended stuff, Perm Repair(i know doesn't really do anything), Onyx, and XSlimmer.

The machine is a Alum MacBook with 2.4GHz C2D, 4GB DDR3, and a 320GB 7200rpm HDD.

Any ideas?

Have you tried re-applying the combo update?

No I haven't i wasn't aware that did anything, I went from 5.5-5.7 off of the Updater. I'll give it a try.

Let us know how it goes, I'm currently researching into the issue a bit further to see if I can find a more detailed solution should that not resolve the issue.
