BlueFiberOptics
Posted in hardware, but guess I should post in the Windows 7 forum. This issue has just popped up recently, so I'm not sure what happened. I have an external 320 GB iomega hard drive that supports both Firewire and USB 2.0. When I plug in my drive with Firewire, anytime I try to copy files to it, the speed is like 400 KB a second or something really ridiculous. If I plug in via USB, the speed is the normal fast USB. I'm running Windows 7 64, but Firewire with this drive has worked fine in the past using the same OS. Any ideas? Could it be my firewire cable? Edit: It seems I can copy files from the drive to my computer at normal speeds (firewire), but not copy files TO the drive at normal speeds. What could be the problem?
