Windows 7 RTM information

From Wzor

Today at breakfast, Steve Balmer (Steve Ballmer) has told us that because of Steve Dzhobsa (Steve Jobs) with a "snow leopard" (Snow Leopard), about which he informed him yesterday, had to adjust their plans and that, prior to final assembly RTM release is now nothing left to do all that is three steps.

Step one: from 10 to 15 June will be the last public build is available for corporate partners Microsoft, this "public" assembly will be assembled:

6.1.7229.0.winmain.090604-1901. Since then and up until the final RTM release is no domestic partnership, or the assembly will not be available.

*

(We are talking about formal access assemblies and can escape anything in the network, even the latest current build: 6.1.7230.0.winmain.090605-1900 - and this assembly may be RTM Escrow assembly).

Step Two: just since mid-June will be collected in the assembly - the candidates for the final RTM release, none of these assemblies will not be distributed to partners.

Step three: final RTM release of Windows 7 will be collected until the day of the summer solstice that is, until 21 June! In Microsoft realize that the case should be initiated prior to finish it before this mysterious date!

Since June 19, you may receive the RTM release of Windows 7 and the Internet.

Finish?: Since the assembly in the RTM release of Microsoft will be a closed test release before signing (sign-off), before the end of these procedures, no one can argue what will become an official build, the final RTM release of Windows 7.

The forthcoming assembly RTM build is not suggested that it would immediately appear on CONNECT'e or the subscribers to MSDN.

Be careful with this point a mass of false information about the final release. We will promptly inform you!

As I said yesterday in some of the posts RTM is completed, MS is just not putting final signature on it yet and nobody knows what build is it actually. They are in SP1 development.

RTM isn't completed. Microsoft are not ready yet, they said that it could be some time next month before it even RTM's, don't get confused that another team has started the SP1 development. Don't spread fud.

But anyway very interesting information ...

No it's not, it sounds like crap and looks like crap.

I like how it says "you may receive the RTM release of Windows 7 and the Internet"

It's good to know we'll finally be getting a release version of the internet rather than this beta rubbish.

I want the real internets :o Can I download it now. Is this free with windows 7?

This is obviously all confirmed and we should all sit tight and wait for the RTM and the internet to come to our PCs very soon.

Oh! I love the English, all very understandable and readable :) It only hurt my head a little bit.

Unless you have alternative credible sources of information (that say otherwise) your comments look and sound a lot more like actual crap.

According to cnet, Microsoft has officially confirmed that Windows 7's release date will be October 22nd, and will be available on both store shelves and new PC's.

Microsoft Senior Vice President Bill Veghte said that in order to meet this release date, development of Windows 7 will wrap up by the middle or end of next month.

Last month, Microsoft made the Windows 7 release candidate available for download. "The feedback from the release candidate has been good", says Bill Veghte.

It looks like OEM's are also ready to go as well. "We're locked and loaded for the launch. The quality of code is just absolutely stellar.", says Phil McKinney, CTO of HP's computer unit. Previously, Acer said that Windows 7 will be available on October 23rd, one day later than the confirmed release date.

We're still waiting for pricing details to be announced, which is expected later this month. Starting June 28th, users who buy a new PC with Windows Vista, will receive a free upgrade to Windows 7. Students may also be able to get Windows 7 at a discount or even for free.

Wrap up as in RTM. Wzor is only saying that by 19th of june there will be near rtm builds ready to be signed off (it could take another month after that to sign off the real RTM, depending on the showstoppers, etc). Again, there is no reason to question the legitimacy of teir claims as their past record speaks for itself. They have been spot on regarding different brnches and build numbers in those branches (most importnat internal info in my opinion).

If you have 7201, try going into control panel (default view selected) choose one of the categories and then press the back button, choose the category again and then press the back button. Do it a couple of times and explorer will crash. There are other situations that cause explorer to crash.

ahhhhh yes, this seems to be a... wait.. Doesn't happen here. I've never had explorer crash in 7201.

in the final RTM will be some UI changes ...;)

Can you confirm this? Sources? Pictures? I really don't see ANY UI changes to come now. Maybe a few 'tweaks' if that.

x86 fresh install on a notebook, most drivers auto installed by windows apart from ms/sd reader. Happens like clockwork.

Aero Diamond is coming. Didn't you hear?

And also Explorer is being rewritten in .NET for extreme performance!

I read it on the Internet so it is true. It has to be.

In a few days I will leak build 7245, and will be known as the Windows god.
