winlonghorn
Never say that, you just send people down the wrong road. Yep! Any speculation of another "theme" is crazy at this point. In SP1? Maybe, In RTM? Definitely not! ;) The only reason I even say SP1 is a possibility for a new "theme" is because Microsoft doesn't seem to be doing things the same way anymore. We never know. Don't take that as starting a rumor please. I am only speculating and hoping to see an additional option. Then again, there is always Windowblinds. Pikey
If you have 7201, try going into control panel (default view selected) choose one of the categories and then press the back button, choose the category again and then press the back button. Do it a couple of times and explorer will crash. There are other situations that cause explorer to crash. No crashes here .. ??
winlonghorn
Aero Diamond is coming. Didn't you hear? And also Explorer is being rewritten in .NET for extreme performance! I read it on the Internet so it is true. It has to be. In a few days I will leak build 7245, and will be known as the Windows god. LOL! Do I sense a bit of sarcasm there? hmm? I wonder! lol :)

Ekhaatvensters
Wzor = Not a reliable source. Telling us that you don't consider them reliable is quite useless, that is basically your opinion. Just because they deal in unofficial news does not make them unreliable. They have proven to be very reliable with Windows 7 related news, maybe given a few mistakes and russian/english mixups. Would you care to prove it wrong in any case? Haha, you quoted neowin for some reliable information earlier in the thread. Well from Neowin: "A reliable Russian website, Wzor, has.." https://www.neowin.net/news/main/08/12/17/n...-select-testers (I realise that what was reliable about the article you posted was a MS employee's quote, but nevertheless, Neowin seems to disagree.) Joe User
Basically it sounds like Windows 7 ready for escrow builds. Which means it's on time for a early summer RTM. Also, it sounds like the final builds will be internal only, which means a new theme, not a new interface. I have no idea what the other ramblings were about. (Spork)
x86 fresh install on a notebook, most drivers auto installed by windows apart from ms/sd reader. Happens like clockwork. bad install ! re install it its on your end not the OS !
vask
bad install ! re install it its on your end not the OS ! It's not a bad install, as it did the same thing before I did a fresh install. It could be an incompatibility with some hardware but that is again the fault of win7 as most drivers installed automatically and therefore are expected to be proper. For those who are trying to recreate the crash, are you doing it fast enough? For me it crashed if I clicked on one of the categories, the one in the top left (cant remember which one that is as im back on vista) and then quickly clicked back then repeated the cycle of click/back a few times and by the 2nd/3rd repeat it would crash explorer. Not sure if this happened in any previous builds as I discovered it completely at random while playing around with the control panel.

Microsoft will market the internet as an integrated component of Windows 7 but (thanks win7 team) with an option to uninstall the internet. Who will be the first person to uninstall the internet from the world?
maccik
ALL, see that many here have assured that next week will be available to the final RTM version, so I want to specify who it alleges the following: We do this not stated correctly read what we published, it was clear that with exactly the middle of June, ie from 15 to 19 June will be the collection of RTM assemblies, these assemblies can be 5 each and can be one, two, three, and what some of these assemblies will be the final version after the signing, I would like to draw your attention to the call sign! According to our data assembly 7200 in the main assembly line winmain reserved for the RTM build, ie, could be 5 again with different builds of 7200 data on the assembly. Build assemblies and assemblies for the signing takes place in different times, so before 24 June, no one can argue that 100% of his hands is the final RTM version! If the first time assembled at the time of signing is not determined a rating vote is done, another assembly and then at a certain time, it just goes to vote rating, etc. In MS there is a term that will surely be signed by the final RTM release! Once again, any assembly gathered from 15 June this potentially final version! Ask what they RTM build will be different from each other, so almost anything, all we can safely put the main keep, they would no longer be taymbomby and will not be an inscription Evaluation version and build number. The differences may not be in the code and installation scripts. Ask when the Russian version will be collected. Russian and any other localized version meets concurrently with the English, LIP ie language packs are also collected on the same day when going to the system. From 15-19 June, we take a timeout for the publication of any information on the numbers of actual assemblies! ЦЯ & Co.

kazuyette
From WzorToday at breakfast, Steve Balmer (Steve Ballmer) has told us that because of Steve Dzhobsa (Steve Jobs) with a "snow leopard" (Snow Leopard), about which he informed him yesterday, had to adjust their plans and that, prior to final assembly RTM release is now nothing left to do all that is three steps. Step one: from 10 to 15 June will be the last public build is available for corporate partners Microsoft, this "public" assembly will be assembled: 6.1.7229.0.winmain.090604-1901. Since then and up until the final RTM release is no domestic partnership, or the assembly will not be available. * (We are talking about formal access assemblies and can escape anything in the network, even the latest current build: 6.1.7230.0.winmain.090605-1900 - and this assembly may be RTM Escrow assembly). Step Two: just since mid-June will be collected in the assembly - the candidates for the final RTM release, none of these assemblies will not be distributed to partners. Step three: final RTM release of Windows 7 will be collected until the day of the summer solstice that is, until 21 June! In Microsoft realize that the case should be initiated prior to finish it before this mysterious date! Since June 19, you may receive the RTM release of Windows 7 and the Internet. Finish?: Since the assembly in the RTM release of Microsoft will be a closed test release before signing (sign-off), before the end of these procedures, no one can argue what will become an official build, the final RTM release of Windows 7. The forthcoming assembly RTM build is not suggested that it would immediately appear on CONNECT'e or the subscribers to MSDN. Be careful with this point a mass of false information about the final release. We will promptly inform you! The eyes and Co. At a reprint of this information please indicate WZorNet as a source Wow ... what the F does this mean ? It's not written in proper english ... As teh Int3rw3bs would say : " lolwut ?"
