Brody McKee
I want to know where the Windows 7 'Start' button graphics are located. I want to play around with them and see if I can create something new. Thanks.
kimsland
Actually that would be interesting to know Here's a skin made for XP using Windows 7 Orb: http://tristec.deviantart.com/art/7-ViOrb-104262115 Here's the program that runs it: http://lee-soft.com/viorb/ Still not sure if it's just as easy to add a skin, or specifically find the resource though

kimsland
Hey I found this info (for Vista though :( ) Windows Vista Start orb is located under Windows Aero Visual Style (aero.msstyle) and is IMAGE_872 located in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Aero as a PNG file More (useless) possible info that may help: If the Orb is missing: taskkill /F /IM explorer.exe explorer.exe Otherwise: Try going to start > type command prompt in the search box > And then Type regsvr /u shell32.dll The icons should start working fine after that.
