DawnUnder2002
I couldn't find anything on this topic so I thought I'd post about it over here so someone else with the same issue may be helped. I have Office 2007 SP2 running on my Win7 RC box. As you may know Office 2007 SP2 integrates the possibility to save as PDF whereas previously a plugin was needed for this capability. As antivirus on Win7 RC I am/was using Kaspersky Antivirus 8.0 beta. After a complete reinstall I needed to convert some excel files into PDF and my surprise was that I was not able to, any office application used returned an error that either the document was in use by something else or it simply said it couldn't make a PDF. After searching the web I finally found a hidden post somewhere on a forum where it indicated that someone had had the same issue and found out it was due to Kaspersky antivirus 8 beta on Win7 that he couldn't save as PDF. I disabled it and tried again : No error and a PDF was made! So to all who have been having this issue in Office 2007 SP2, now you know the reason why. I am now using Panda Antivirus for Win7, hoping this will not happen with that application.
primexx
KIS2010TR works fine the built in plugin is horrible at filesize, you should use a third party pdf printer like doPDF anyways.
crankenstein.exe
yeah, kaspersky beta for win 7 started giving me problems, so i unloaded it just today... i installed avira free (hasn't let me down in years) and now win 7 is nice and smooth again. Pendaws
That's good to know. I am using AVG free and have had NO issues with that. :)
+KibosJ Subscriber² Posted June 18, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted June 18, 2009 This will be fixed soon. It's because of the SP2 update, it happened in SP1 too until they fixed it :/ The only way to 'temp' fix this is by adding which ever application to 'Trusted' in kaspersky.
