Jimmy422
Well, you guys said there is no Aero Diamond and that Microsoft isn't working/trying it. You are obviously wrong. Aero Diamond were DWM enhanchements that produced some neat effects which made the UI better. They are working on this idea since Longhorn, and never stopped. It won't be in the RTM though, but there is a video.UXevangelist released this video of Windows 7 a few weeks ago: That's not 7 or any OS, it's a concept. Paul thurrott posted about it a while ago, it's a Microsoft fan who really wants a job.

Lord Ba'al
got 7229 , but where is the option to customize the logon screen It works all the same as it ever worked since it was introduced in 7057: First, create a DWORD value named OEMBackground in the HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background key. This value may not exist by default, depending on your system. Next, create an image named backgroundDefault.jpg, same size as your desktop reolution, which must be smaller than 246kB, and put it in the following folder: %windir%\system32\oobe\info\backgrounds This folder also may not exist by default, depending on your system. Lord Ba'al
actually i thought that windows 7 was to have the capability to having us be able to change the login screen in a proper manner , eg. RMB - personalize - login screen I doubt this will happen. As I understood it, this was only implemented so Oems can place their logo on the login screen.
