ChronoStriker1
I'm trying to upgrade windows 7 rc to one of the beta builds but the computer seems to do nothing durring the final step. This happened when I tried upgrading from vista as well, then I decided to do a new install which went smoothly. I want to figure out what its failing to do but I've yet to find a log file to do so. Symptoms of doing nothing is the circle spins it loading... Switches with setting up devices, user setings... The acrivity light blinks drive (raid1) then stops and every now and again a get a faint light and it can stay like that for hours (longest I waited was 10). I end up just restarting the computer which causes it to roll back.
ChronoStriker1
I should also mention I ran the upgrade advisor the only warning it had was for the wireless built onboard my motherboard, saying I should update the driver. Tried to but windows 7 said it already had the best driver. As for the test part in the installer it said the the language pack I had installed would need to be reinstalled. ChronoStriker1
Yes clearly that would work, but I'd rather find out the reason why the upgrade won't work.
ChronoStriker1
Is there a log I should be looking at to see where what the installer was actually doing, or some sort of verbose mode?

ChronoStriker1
Thats what I needed, thanks. Looks like it was going according to setupact.log but after 2 hours it was only at 46%. I'm going to try one more time, going to start now and leave it until tomorrow. If it fails, or does nothing at least I know which log to check. Anyone else have an absurdly long upgrade time? ChronoStriker1
Ive had this upgrade going since about 4:30PM yesterday, since 3-4 in the morning its been on the last step at 55%. Is there anyway to check the logs while its on because I really don't want to stop the install if it is going to finish.
