I originally bought it on the 360, and still have it, I was going to purchase it for the PC too until I ws told by a friendly rep that there were no solid plans to release all the DLC on the PC :(

Surf Island is awesome though, you should be able to pick up a 360 version dirt cheap now, assuming you have a 360? I can't remember if you do or not :/

Yes i is :p But I am talking the likes of cops and robbers and stuff, it was a while ago when before it first came out on PC, i wanted to get it for higher resolution etc, but after the comments from the rep I decided against purchase :( I did get a Burnout Paradise cap though :)

This game surprised me. Graphically its very impressive, the amount of varying detail throughout the city, under it and over it is top notch. The cars are well modeled fakeries of real life cars for the most part. The different classes of cars handle in varying ways quite nicely also. I mainly bought this for my little nephew to play when they visit, but it hooked me and I can't seem to put it down until I've gotten 100%. This is also one of those maddening types of games that make you want to slam your head through the wall at times.

I agree completely on that point! :woot:

Criterion Studios is an awesome studio ! They're able to really improve a franchise and taking it into new territories ( with uber-awesome success ) with each release. And with Paradise they're doing something that NO ONE has done before with delivering an awesome lot of content and support to a game that was released more than a year ago !

That's IMPRESSIVE for a game studio imo.

Any way to turn off DJ Atomica? I'm trying to squeeze out 100% and man, is he annoying at this point.

Just guessing here but in game options = turn all music off completely, then have your own playlist playing in the background, this way you get rid of the ****ty DJ and the even shittier music.

I swear the lyrics in one of the songs is some adolescent dude chorusing "I've been going through changes" LOL

I have the 360 ver and the PC ver. I have no desire whatsoever to purchase the DLC for the 360 ver, so I'm just waitin on Criterion getting it available.

Worked.

I went into EA Trax : Customize and switched them all to Don't Play and no more Atomica with the added benefit of silencing one of the worst soundtracks in the history of video games. Thanks!

Aw come on, it's not that bad.

......theres like 1 good song on it. XD

I just started playing it today again. I play the game a lot but I barely make any progress on the actual game! I just do the pointless side-tasks. I should really try and aim for completion.

I have the 360 version and I'm the same - I always get distracted with mini challenges among friends (like who can get the biggest jump off of the freeway :p) instead of actually working on the game.

Ugh, some of it I agree with you. I only needed to turn off that horrid 'girlfriend' song though, and just skip that whiny thirteen year old song. Who picked this ****?

I actually like Atomika though, a bit repetitive but he's alright.

I have this game for the PC as well. It's an excellent game. The only thing I hate is the soundtrack. There seriously is only one or two decent songs on it. Why don't they let you put custom music in? Is it really that hard?

Criterion Games is now moving onto the Need for Speed franchise. Hopefully they can work some magic on it, as the last few Need for Speed games really didn't do the series any justice.

Anyway, I believe my in-game name is the same as my name here if you want to add me as a friend.

I hate Atomica absolutely and completely and I hate the equivalent in any game. Unless there is way more content to his script, give me a friggin check box to turn his annoying stereotypical, fake, white "cool" dude, dj voice OFF! A check box, that's all I ask. Oh and allow for custom playlist with my own music without me having to turn on my media player. Except for the classical stuff, the playlist is geared toward 12 year old girls. There was no thought put into this part of the game at all, horrible. Otherwise Im really impressed with the game. I usually dont get into arcade racers, this is one of those rare ones that is really good.
