SuperJediMedia
17% of the Mob did not know it takes 1 YEAR for the Earth to revolve around the Sun! Similarily, almost a dozen (I think 11% missed it) as well did NOT know Raisins are made of Grapes... that was actually the Friday nights round, I think. Yet, NO one got the question wrong that Miley Cyrus won the best actress in Kids Award! I am pretty sure a lot of people also don't even know 10PM PST is what time it is in East Coast or what time is 17:44 supposed to be. I would love to see these kind of question in the trivia see how many get wrong! :| Edited June 14, 2009 by JediXAngel
Sethos
So, it's not like any of those questions could mean the difference between life or death, so who gives a toss?
huddy
It's a family game so the quesions are not going to be Mastermind standard.
SuperJediMedia
Although I did NOT personally particpate in the first couple 1 Vs 100 rounds, I also heard that 30% missed the "What is the 24th letter in the alphabet" question.
The Teej
So, it's not like any of those questions could mean the difference between life or death, so who gives a toss? Yes, but isn't it a little scary that some people didn't know that earth revolves around the sun, yet they knew that Miley Cyrus won the best actress kids award? It's just a really bad reflection on the quality of education these days. The majority of things don't mean the difference between life or death (technically speaking, the only thing you need to know is how to eat, drink and breath), but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be taught. SuperJediMedia
I don't think the problem is that it's not being taught, but rather the learner/student that doesn't want to learn it.
Bhav
So, it's not like any of those questions could mean the difference between life or death, so who gives a toss? A lot of things don't mean the difference between life or death...that doesn't mean we shouldn't talk about them. In this case...the level of stupidity and ignorance is astounding. Sethos
I don't think the problem is that it's not being taught, but rather the learner/student that doesn't want to learn it. Exatly and I don't blame them. I do appreciate the young generations being taught basics regarding every aspect of life and their surroundings but don't blame them for not caring. They are going to care about topics that interest them which today is stuff on TV, the Internet and celebrities - So they just know this stuff. So how are they going to learn about astronomy for an example when you couldn't give a sh ... about it at school and you rarely ever heard about it elsewhere? Yes you do need some basic knowledge which a lot of kids lack these days, that is bad and you can blame the current generation and the failing education system, I just think it's wrong to call just trample on an entire generation because they can't answer questions they don't give a crap about and isn't necessary knowledge. Qumahlin
Although I did NOT personally particpate in the first couple 1 Vs 100 rounds, I also heard that 30% missed the"What is the 24th letter in the alphabet" question. Yes, that is true, actually it was over 30%, but that was a psychological trick question, not a knowledge question. They asked the question "Which is the 24th letter of the alphabet". The options you got were as follows X Button = A A Button = X B Button = G Now...from above do you see why so many people got the question wrong? Everyone in a rush to get the instant answer bonus hit the X BUTTON which did not correspond to the answer X!!! Once you pick your answer you can't change it. It was a complete psych out and very clever move by the xbox staff, I bet they laughed their asses off. Most people didn't realize what happened until they saw they got it wrong. SuperKid
^ Lol, that is clever indeed, if your in a rush and you know its X you hit X on the controller and doh! :p

CUBBYJR2005
First night playing it and I love it so far.Any word on how much it will cost? you should not have to be paying for it when it comes out of beta its a gold thing so most likely gold members get it for free and silver too. Inctye
Well it's not surprising some of the most basic knowledge questions like raisins = grapes are missed by some, especially if certain things are not familiar to them. There is a good chance that most of the people who play this game are children who may be only 10 years old, which probably explains why they answered the Miley Cyrus question right. Heck, depending on the other two choices, I probably would have gotten it right even though I had no time to watch the teen choice awards Damn, I need to get a xbox. Not sure why my parents bought a wii.

RatherLargeBear
One thing you need to remember when playing any type of quiz is that the question is only easy if you know the answer. I'm sure if you got one wrong that you simply didn't know, other people playing would say 'how did you get that wrong?' :)
Kushan
Reminds me of a stupid thing I used to do as a Kid. I'd go up to someone and make them say "toast" 10 times. then I'd ask then what you put in a toaster. 9 out of 10 people immediately replied "Toast!". Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted June 22, 2009 Global Moderator Share Posted June 22, 2009 I had a good laugh at a few questions it asked how many minutes are in a year A: 525 948 b: 60 C: 24 I think 2000+ people got it wrong out of the 17,000 playing. Another question was who directed star wars II?? and everyone of course picked George Lucas, and more than 90% of the people got it wrong.
