Jdawg683: Set the AA to None/2x and set Soft Shadows to High. That should give you a reasonable performance boost. What size is your monitor? 23-inch?

There we go. That's much better than 20.38FPS. Set the AA to 2x and you're good to go. I'm sure the aliasing won't be that noticeable at 2048x1152. :)

I like how you right away blame me of piracy. THis is as legal of a copy as you can get. Directly from microsofts technet. Fully legal with fully up to date Nvidia drivers for windows 7 with driver version 186.03

Actually, I'm very sorry if you thought that. That is not what I was implying whatsoever. I was merely asking if you were running Win7 on one of these copies, as there have been reports of weird things happening as a result of doing so. I don't give a toss about 'legality' lol and such :p

Ok no problem. Its just an annoying problem and all the other games like team fortress 2 to work without a problem. Makes me not want the game if their benchmark wont run.

I still can't get over the fact that there is a A++ fighting title coming to PC!

I can! It's about time too. When I first heard of Street Fighter IV coming to the PC, I felt weak in the knees. I literally said "Yes!" out loud. Hahaha.

Yeah, I bet it's annoying. Unfortunately, they're not obligated to make it compatible with a beta version of Windows 7. PunkBuster doesn't work that well with Windows 7 either. It's a widely used anti-cheat program developed by Even Balance. Anyway, I'm sure the full game will have no issues running on any version of Windows 7 (which is slated for an late-09 release).

  • 3 weeks later...

Wow, I just ran this and the game looks great. I passed when it came on the PS3, but I might get this one on the PC. Just a few days left! :D

It's actually out in the UK already. Would have had my copy on Friday had the company I ordered it from actually sent it when they were supposed to. So I cancelled it and ordered it elsewhere, so it should now be with me Monday.

Too bad the game don't work now that it's officially released. :(

I think most people experienced decryption issues. Anyway, it seems to have been fixed.

Steam seem to always have these decryption issues with game pre-loads. They either need a new way to do it, or to do away with it.

It isn't a problem with Steam per se, more over it's a problem with Steam being overloaded. Imagine 2 or 3 million people (I'm just pulling a number here) trying to decrypt/unlock SF4 at the same time, of course Steam's content servers/general servers are going to be overloaded, or go down or be slow, or give errors.

Valve has to start doing roll outs of unlock/decrypts instead of all at once at a single time.
