HAckEur
The simplest and easier solution is to install Gizmo Drive, freeware for both x86 and x64. It mounts the VHD image to a drive letter showing as a HDD/CD/DVD drive. Just copy the contents to a HDD or USB or convert to ISO. link: http://arainia.com/ freeware testing on 7201-7229 x64 waiting for the 7260...... HAckEur
Whats the point if Windows 7 can already mount VHDs? the ability to mount a VHD image and convert straight to ISO, plus a free full featured virtual drive to mount ISO's for extracting to HDD/USB to run setup.exe install. some Windows 7 users are always interested in compatible x64 freeware :) btw:'SoapyHamHocks' have you tried extracting contents from a VHD image using the Windows 7 utility? SoapyHamHocks Member Posted June 17, 2009 Member Share Posted June 17, 2009 Don't take it the wrong way. I had no intention of trolling. Had a quick glance at the website and it seemed to just be an image mounter. Also I have no problems mounting and extracting some files using the included disk manager in Windows 7. Avogadro
Why go through all the trouble of extracting the VHD? If you already have a build of Win7 running on your box, you can boot into the VHD as a virtual machine with very little performance loss.
