Sethos
Empire: Total War update incomingThursday 18-Jun-2009 4:31 PM 14 new units added "for more diversity" Sega has passed over details for update 1.3 that'll make the already critically acclaimed Empire: Total War, even more critically acclaimed. The patch will drop on Monday June 22 and include "the implementation of multi-threading, which will significantly benefit players that use multi-core processors. In addition to this, the update greatly improves performance on single core machines." Creative Assembly has also added 14 new units to the game that will "replace 'generic' equivalents to give each faction a distinct presence on the battlefield." Source: CVG Can't believe the game didn't ship with multi-threading support! At least it explains the poor performance in certain conditions on my i7. trag3dy
Cool, that's good to hear. I've put off getting this game because I've read about some of the performance issues.

Unimatrix Xero
hope this fixes the issue with only being able to use older drivers, as after a little testing the only drivers i found that work with Empire is/was 182.50s all the others caused hard system locks
+longgonebn Subscriber² Posted June 20, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted June 20, 2009 I never had any issues with drivers or anything, but I stopped playing quite fast. Let's see if this will get me back into it.
