Old School Gaming on PC

Recommended Posts

This evening me and mt mates decided to dig out Worms Armageddon and have a play online, we had to use Hamanchi as we couldnt access the online servers due to old versions of the game (couldnt find patches) and we aint laughed so hard in ages, using the banana bomb and the old lady and the super sheep again was brilliant

I was never a fan of worms when it when 3D but the 2D games still make me laugh, and the best of all it worked out the box under Windows 7 :)

has anyone else caught the old school bug recently?

Actually, yes.

I had an old 900mhz celeron PC collecting dust, so I decided to put it to some use. Been playing Rollcage II lately. Great fun. Looking for some more classic games that I've forgotten about...

I lost my copy of Worms Armageddon ages ago, but I do still have Worms 2 and Worms World Party. I haven't touched those games in a long time. I do remember roping when I was into it though. I do, however, still play some Doom and Quake when I'm bored.

RA1 is available for free download now - a google search will bring up EA's direct link for it. Vista compatible as well!

And as for Worms2 being Abandonware, Check out Home of the Underdogs for more information. I think it's there now?

Love my classic gaming. One of the few reasons I stuck with XP, but now Win7 seems to be doing that job well too! :D
