the_architect
The 6-19-2009 looks photoshopped... Yea sure does. Zooming in shows its different to the other text.
Raa
Hahaha caught! Plus the fact Technet, MSDN and Connect downloads sections are still down!
Aldur82
There are lots of things about that screenshot that scream fake. The font is different. The space between the 'e' of 'Ultimate' and the '(' of the '(x86)' is too wide compared to the rest of the page. And the fact that I can log into Technet and not get the same display, even though it's 2 days after the supposed release date in that screenshot. Subject Delta
Mines did for 7260 7260 is just an escrow, not actually the RTM build will aero diamond be included in final rtm? No, Aero Diamond doesn't exist. I think it will be funny when Microsoft releases a patch during the period between RTM (or before RTM is public) and selling it in the stores, and 10,000 people get it via Windows Update. Why is that funny? Patches will be released to cover off any issues that are found between RTM and general release, it isn't unusual for that to happen with any software :woot:   That's what you call a bad fake. If it was on Technet/MSDN it would not be released to Japan first, and plenty of people would be screaming and shouting about it.
fix-this!
I believe Windows 7 reached RTM. :) don't see how it could of considering we still have to wait until the end of october for it to be released.
The Patri0t
I have a question. Will the RTM be available on MSDN sometime after they finalize it? [before General Release that is] AND what about users of MSDN Academic Alliance? Will they have access to it?
Phemo
don't see how it could of considering we still have to wait until the end of october for it to be released. Yes but it will RTM long before October. MS have to distribute the RTM code to OEMs so that they can get all their systems ready as well as get discs/packaging sorted etc. Just because it's being released in October it doesn't mean it'll RTM in October. I can't vouch for TechNet but MSDN downloads are available and work fine. Can confirm that RTM is NOT available on MSDN and as said above, prolly won't be for several weeks. Yusuf M. Veteran Posted June 21, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 21, 2009 Okay, so let me get this straight. Windows 7 RTM will be made available to Microsoft's partners, PC manufacturers, and MSDN/Technet subscribers before its general availability release? If that's the case, then anyone who doesn't fall into the aforementioned groups will have to wait until the 22nd of October. I invite anyone to correct me if I'm wrong. That would seem to be the case. If I remember correctly, a similar timeline happened with the release of Vista. It went to manufacturers etc. around October time, but was officially released at the end of January the next year. The three month time difference seems consistent. Tolanri
Isn't that pretty much the same :p Maybe, I'm not native English speaker. I thought predict is based on some facts (whether they are true or not) while guessing is just..guess. Like forecasts - you can guess it's gonna snow without any facts. But if you predict you do some calculations your prediction is based on. No?

I can't believe it would take so long for them to release it to the public. But partners would receive FOUR months before? That ain't right... Guessing something is making a statement or answering a question without any particular knoweledge or facts and predicting is making a statement based on some facts and knoweledge so to answer the other user no guessing and predicting are not the same. The complete opposite in fact. Anyways I doubt very much we'll see a leak by the end of week. Could be wrong of course but I'd be very surprised if we do. In any case I'm waiting for it to hit technet. I won't be getting any leaked RTM.
