techbeck
I had to replace my router today and am having problems connecting my xbox. The problem with the new router is I cannot have duplicate port numbers for some reason. So when i try to add the following port routs, i cannot ad the last one.... 1> 88 - TCP 2> 3074 > TCP 2> 3074 > UDP Anyone using this router and have it configured for live? thanks
Kushan
Is there definitely no TCP AND UDP option? Also, you shouldn't actually need to forward the ports as long as UPnP is enabled.

Well, my xbox sees the wireless and says it connects to it. But when I go to test the connection, there is a red X between the xbox and my router. I have the port forwarding thing worked out and all my settings appear correct. My laptop connects without any issues. I think there may be some new setting with this router I am missing...i dunno. Frustrating.
Dead_Monkey
When you configure the port forwarding, the "Protocol" option lets you select from: 1. TCP 2. UDP 3. Both So select Both for 3074. By the way, there are a bunch of other ports used by Xbox Live. If things work properly with UPnP, you should use that instead of forwarding specific ports. That router is new enough that it should play nice with 360s.
