The first round of elections Windows 7 RTM no results - from pipes MICROSOFT pushed the black smoke!

But the believers gathered c 19 to 20 June on the signing of RTM release, you took it pushed the black smoke from the chimney of a white little details later ....

In the meantime, you can download the server 7260

What I understand is that they're fighting on which build to sign off as the RTM. Build 7260 x64 available though.

Damn! Come on people! Work hard!

:argue:

Its likely going to be 7262, which will then be rounded to 7300.

Pretty much which means they will recompile it to 7300 tomorrow and leak it on Monday.

not funny

Neither is posting thread titles all in caps.

Anyway, guess we'll just have to wait and see. One thing though, why are they fighting over which build to call RTM. Surely each successive build, barring regression contains fixes not in the previous version, so the one to RTM would be the latest one?

So did I myself, someone mustn't have a funny bone. Looking forward to RTM. Also.

final RTM release of Windows 7 will be collected until the day of the summer solstice that is, until 21 June! In Microsoft realize that the case should be initiated prior to finish it before this mysterious date!

Now that's a pleasant surprise. I was expecting Windows 7 RTM in mid-July at the earliest.

I guess MS wants to give enough time for OEM to be ready for October Lunch.

How many topics are we going to have about this? : |

and yeah waiting for the RTM like anything.

How many posts are we going to have like this that contribute nothing to the thread and are merely whining. If you aren't interested in the thread, then why come in here at all? Why take the time to post?

Wzor references the selection of the catholic pope procedure by talking about white or black smoke. As far as I remember a pope is confirmed by letting off white smoke from the chimney for all gathered followers to see.

They say that the first round of voting hasn't produced results, hence still black smoke.

Exactly, why do people have to be so f...ing annoying. Don't like the thread then don't click on it let alone post useless rubbish.

I'm hoping it'll be done and posted today! I don't think I could wait til tomorrow anymore. Haha.

It is not going to happen. If the voting hasn't produced results it means not everyone is happy with the quality of the candidate build. That means another compile may be required followed by another round of voting.
