techbeck
We have a few Mac Pros with quad processors and 3-4 gigs of RAM. These Macs are at a remote location connected by a WAN using a 60mbs connection. They are accessing data from our main office thru the 60mbs connection. We have enabled AD integration on the Macs. The problem is our Marketing department uses Indesign, which are big files, and it is taking a long time to copy/open/save files via the 60mbs WAN connection. The Macs were working fine when they were at our MAIN office on a 100mbs connection. If we copy data to the servers at the Mac locations, the transfer speed is fine as well. The Marketing department also uses dual core PCs with 2gb of RAM running Windows XP. The PCs transfer data quickly and DO NOT have the same issues as the Macs. So, I am assuming there is a network config issue on the Macs or something else going on. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
