Bassem
A friend of mine is running an old build, 7022 (I know), and she can't seem to connect to the internet (wired). For some reason, the connection can only be recognized as a public network, every time she tries changing it, it automatically switches back to "Public network" and says Local Access Only. She tried turning the router on and off, even used a different cable, still no luck. People running older builds were having problems with IPv6, turned that off. She also tried disabling/enabling the connection again, since turning off IPv6 already does that. Assuming an upgrade/fresh installation is not an option, any ideas? Thanks! I heard that was one of the issues from the early build. Can she in any way get access to the RC build, which is 7100?
Bassem
I heard that was one of the issues from the early build. Can she in any way get access to the RC build, which is 7100? That's the thing, she can't. Most people having the Local Access Only issue on older builds were able to fix it by disabling/enabling the adapter. This might seem like a smart-ass reply, but can you give her a DVD with the 7100 burned on it? Also, try googling and see if it helps in anyway. Thanks! =)
