HacKage
Yea, I use my 360 controller for PC gaming. You can get the drivers from microsoft, and most modern games now will have a profile preinstalled for the 360 controller

bryonhowley
Yes it work fine and no need to download drivers as Windows XP and Vista will recognize the controller and install the drivers for you.

SMELTN
I was thinking of getting a wired controller for just this reason. I actually have the wireless controller with the plug and play charge kit.. I was HOPING I could use that, but of course I found out you can't. In order to use the wireless controllers you have to buy the $20 wireless adapter. solardog
All you have to do is plug it in, Vista will immediately install the driver and then get the update within a minute....done.

I used to have a wired xbox 360 controller for the PC but then I sold it and got myself a Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 and it blows the 360 controller out of the water. The xbox 360 controller is quite "fat" and the analog sticks aren't next to each other. The Logitech fit in my hands easily and it has customizable drivers unlike the 360. That controller just looks like a cheap PS2/PS3 controller. The whole reason why people choose to use the 360 controller on their PC is because it is a brilliantly designed controller that fits the hands perfectly. Dead_Monkey
one candy bar = ?1? wow that's expensive.... Yes, but if you've had British candy bars, you know that they're worth it, just like the Xbox 360 controller;)) You can also buy a device from Microsoft that will let you use your wireless 360 controllers and headsets on the PC. IMO the 360 controller is almost perfect, it would be perfect if it was slightly "fatter" for me.
