Realtek's new Audio Icon

I just opened the Realtek control panel and i noticed that the icon have changed lately anyone have seen this? (BTW im using the 2.26 for Vista/Win7)

What are the changes? I have been using it since version 2.0 and it seems the same to me.

By the way Realtek High Definition Audio for Vista\Win 7 2.27 is available since 2009-06-23

Yep. Been the same brownish icon for at least 2 years here (from Vista beta throughout current and all versions of Win 7).

I said that they "changed" the icon as they did put a nicer version of it...

Sorry. I thought you meant what you said. That the icon "changed". An improved, high-res icon of the same design, yes.

Smoother is better but they should have redesigned the icon :x

Off course they should have redesigned it... i always tough that icon was too ugly as i was always hiding it in my systray :p

I always hide it too. It really does look horrible lol. How long has it been this hideous thing?

I should have put a better title... like: Realtek's Audio icon refreshed but i cant change it... :(

i got my first motherboard with realtek audio chipset almost 4 years ago and the icon looked like this.... so we couldd say hat it was about time lol

mine is still the white one but the version is Vista, in device manager the driver version is 6.0.1.5864

but what is an icon anyway?
