Dannydeman
My maximum budget to buy Windows is 150euro's. I only want a key, I don't care about the CD/DVD. If MS fails to give me a key for ?150, I will use an illegal version for sure. And I prefer Professional.

FunkTrooper
I wonder if you'll be able to activate Windows 7 using your BIOS like you can with Vista. For those who don't know, any version Vista can be activated without any third party cracks being installed if your BIOS has a SLIC table in it. And if it lacks this, you can patch your BIOS so that it does have one. This makes it *very* easy to crack Vista yourself, without dodgy software from pirates, and in a way that will pass any form of ?validation?. Surely it's stuff like that MS should be focusing on. Yusuf M. Veteran Posted June 26, 2009 Veteran Share Posted June 26, 2009 I think Microsoft is focusing more on the inclusion of malicious software in pirated versions of Windows. Identity theft is a growing problem, especially if it's OS-based. An innocent customer could easily buy a computer with a pre-installed [pirated] version of Windows full of key loggers and other malicious software designed to steal your information. Of course, they'll try to improve the anti-piracy features of Windows 7 to combat the ever-growing problem of software piracy. Unfortunately, their efforts are futile against the hackers and crackers out there.
ZombieFly
What kind of question is that? If I said in my post I run Linux, then I run Linux. i was highlighting the irony of your "windows screws up" post. In the 20+ years of using windows, i've had very few things randomly screw up that couldn't be easily rectified. During those years, i've dipped in and out of linux distros and spent many an hour trying to (gasp) connect a second monitor or (shock) install a soundcard. In windows, i install a driver, in linux, i have to edit scripts and learn the entire background into the driver model before I can get any pixels on my screen only to have it stop working the day after. I've also owned various MS keyboards, webcams, joysticks and mice. Not once has any of these items failed. Frankly, your statement is FUD

Lord Ba'al
WZOR posted a dl and screenshot of "V-activator" by Orbit30, from the look of it it's prepared for 7.....seems the mouse had made a head-start already. :hmmm: As I said, that wouldn't surprise me one bit  I like when they add new protection. I'm sure they're really grateful for such a good opportunity
