Comic Book Guy
Here is my original post: https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?show...amp;p=591211746 However, I decided to make its own thread. I just uninstalled it and reinstalled it, patched it up again to 1.09 and now I am getting the following error message as can be seen in the image: The DVD is sitting in the drive, so why am I getting that error message?

Comic Book Guy
have you tried disabling any emulation software that you might be running ? I'm not running any emulation software. Everything workes fine with my copy on 7 x64 and worked on vista x64 too. Get a no cd crack if you couldn't solve the problem wirh reinstall. It was a completely different error that it was giving me before I reinstalled it, this is the new error. I'll try a NoDVD crack, we'll see if that works. I've had no issues with backups myself in Vista x64 (or 7 x64, for that matter); in fact, I've upgraded from Vista x64 to 7 x64 via backup ISOs (same thing from Vista x32 to 7 x32). It could be physical damage to the backup media, or a corruption of the backup. Generally, backups should be burned at the slowest speeds (1x or 2x at most) to reduce chances of corruption. Comic Book Guy
I didn't make a backup, the original DVD is sitting in the drive, I've never made a backup of a CD/DVD as I've never figured out how to do so.
Yusuf M. Veteran Posted July 1, 2009 Veteran Share Posted July 1, 2009 I tihnk it's an issue with SecuROM. See here.
PGHammer
I tihnk it's an issue with SecuROM. See here. Then what you need is a virtual drive that emulates SecuROM properly. (Fortunately, VirtualCloneDrive works just fine with this. It's what I use with my C&C 3-based images with XP/Vista/7 (both 32 and 64).)
