thefarewellnote
Can someone explain the Network locations feature to me in Leopard? I am talking about the Automatic (default location) and how you can add more locations. I have read a few books but they just confused me more. I am assuming it has something to do when you want a static ip at one location and not the others.

thefarewellnote
So basically all it does is tells the computer which port should be active based on the location chosen. So if I have the ethernet port used at work and have a work location then OS X would use that by default and not airport?
