Cannot replicate your issue - have you tried disabling all plugins from Prefs / Security and making sure the General / Save downloaded files to: is a sane and existing location?

Mac, mac software section you know..

Everything is normal. I try disabling plugins and still crashes. It used to be fine in version 3, but when I upgraded it this began to happen.

In rapidshare, I click on download, the built in download manager pops up, safari freezes for a few seconds then it gone with a message saying Mac OS X and other applications where not affected, reluanch safari?

Indeed, S4 is extremely unstable - I'd say Javascript seems to trigger the issue, especially on JS heavy pages I'm seeing short time freezes and then S4 just crashes.

4.0.2 stopped the random crashing here on Neowin for me. Beyond that not a single page has crashed on my yet since I started using Safari 4. *nocks on wood*

Crashes on me a lot just browsing or looking at a flash video. It's either get CPU spikes using Fx3.5 (if you have a background tab with a flash advert or anything, Fx keeps processing it, right now it is at 23% while I enter this comment) or crashing with Safari.

Kill battery or keep restarting browser... hmmm choices! Thanks Apple/Mozilla.

How does Flash sucking relate to Apple or Mozilla?

I can barely view full screen flash videos properly (with huge CPU load) but I can play several 1080p/H264 streams at the same time.
