PC gamers: Steam offering twenty 2K titles for $53.99

July 2, 5:09 PM

From time to time Valve's Steam client, a PC based digital distribution client for games, has weekend deals or discounts that leave us no choice but to act on. They just unveiled a discount that takes 'choice' completely out of the equation.

You'll need a healthy amount of free hard drive space, but the "Huge 2K Game Pack" is now priced at $53.99 through July 7th. A far cry from being a sub-par collection, the pack includes:

Sid Meier's Civilization? IV, Sid Meier's Civilization? III Complete, Sid Meier's Pirates!, Shattered Union, Prey, CivCity: Rome, Civilization IV?: Warlords, Sid Meier's Railroads!, Railroad Tycoon 3, Railroad Tycoon II Platinum, X-COM: Terror From the Deep, X-COM: Apocalypse, BioShock, X-COM: Interceptor, X-COM: UFO Defense, X-COM: Enforcer, Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword, Freedom Force, Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich, Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Colonization.

If you still don't own BioShock or Civ IV, these alone are worth the price of admission. The other 18 titles aren't too shabby either.

Now, load up your Steam client and open up your bandwidth throttle. There's about 1200 hours of gaming to be had.

Fallout 3 is also half price this weekend/b>

Saw this when I exited TF2 an hour ago. It's worth it for Prey and Fallout 3 alone.

Offtopic, but I also just joined the Neowin.Net Steam group today :D

Not my cup of tea, too many Tycoon and Sid Meier's games.

Also I don't see Fallout 3 included in the pack...

I dont think it is in the pack. It's 50% off as a separate download.

Anyway being in AU I can't get the pack anyway...however having Bioshock already it probably hasn't got that much appeal to me anyway (especially given that was as low as $5 or whatever not too long ago). Civ is a bit too strategy heavy for me and while I like railroad tycoons thats the sort of thing I can grab for $10 in a sale. Still, as a pack if you want 4 or 5 of the titles it's pretty good.
