Smashing Pumpkin
Hey, just bought Resident Evil 5 and have heard that co-op is the way to go for the best campaign experience as the AI is crap/gets in the way all the time. Anyone up for playing through the campaign together? Preferably someone who's not played campaign yet so I don't get left in the dust solving puzzles etc. Thanks. Ji@nBing
I actually JUST finished the game, so you probably don't want to do co-op with me. But I'm looking for someone to do the egg glitch with if you want to help me out. Of course you're welcome to any eggs as well if you want them. Ji@nBing
eggs... :s I havn't looked up any achievements or glitches yet. Haha. Basically you can find eggs in the game that are pretty hard to come by. There is a glitch in which you can duplicate them and then sell them for mad cash. I already have a couple of each egg. I just need someone to help me duplicate them. Smashing Pumpkin
I take it I need to be on a certain level, or can you join on the very first level and I help you duplicate? If so I'm up for helping you duplicate your eggs so long as I could borrow them for the egg achievement (Y)
Ji@nBing
You can do it on any level. Your welcome to any eggs you want of course. Here's how it's done just so you know. Easier than trying to explain it over live :p . NOTE: this requires 2 people, on 2 different xboxesthe only thing limiting how many eggs you can duplicate is the amount of eggs you have. I've done 500 at one time. The HOST requires having no eggs for this to work. 1st. Start a game, invite only, and invite your friend who has the eggs. 2nd. have the person who joins the game give the host ALL of their eggs. 3rd. the person who JOINS the game, not the HOST, dashboards out (press xbox button on controller and hit Y). 4th. The host then reinvites them back to the game to do it again, and again, and again. the host never leaves the inventory screen. finally. When you have your 500 eggs, start the game so it saves, and then quit. the other person then hosts the game and you give them all 500 of your eggs and then dashboard. the host of that game starts it up so it saves and now you both have 500 eggs!!! Enjoy! Just let me know when you want to do it, and I'll come online and add you.
Smashing Pumpkin
Added, do you have the golden and rotten eggs so I can get that achievement?
Ji@nBing
Cool. I have a couple of each egg, so you'll get that achievement. Personally, I'd recommend holding onto the eggs and not selling them until your 2nd playthrough as it would probably make your first one too easy. I'm just doing it because I want to go through it again on the hardest difficulty to get that achievement and this will make it a lot easier on me. Anyway, I should be online in about 30 mins. Is that cool?
Smashing Pumpkin
Yeah I duplicated in Oblivion to get money, it ruined the game. I don't want 500 eggs myself. 30 mins is cool.
Smashing Pumpkin
You must have gone offline about 1 minute before I finished that mission, sorry mate. Some other time. Also, how fricken bad is the screen tearing?! Jesus it's almost unbearable :(
Ji@nBing
No problem. I'm in no huge rush to get it done. Yeah, it's pretty bad. I saw reviews that said the graphics are as good as Gears 2. IMO, not even close
Smashing Pumpkin
Graphics are good, but I mean, I could put up with simpler graphics without screen tearing. It's every time the camera turns, not just in cutscenes either :( Also the new inventory SUCKS! I knew all of this was different in 5 cos' I played the demo a while back, but oh man the inventory is annoying!

Also, how fricken bad is the screen tearing?! Jesus it's almost unbearable :( There was a trick to minimise the screen tearing if you switch the resolution down from 1080p to 720p. I couldn't believe it myself as the PS3 version does not have this issue, However it is far slower and looks noticably worse compared to the 360 version. So I'm on a 17inch CRT, I think it's 1024 x 768 res, not too sure. I will try lowering the res but I seem to remember it took a while to get it nice n right the way it is now ont' monitor. Smashing Pumpkin
Oh my God... Argh! I just got bored n went to finish up my session of RE n thought, nah screw it, no holds barred, so I went at every enemy I could see with grenade launcher and magnum n shotgun ammo, n then just quit, thought it'd be okay, there was no checkpoint. I accidently saved the inventory, so now I have basically no fricken ammo! Argh! Makes me just wanna shoot the hell out of em with a grenade launcher n a magnum n a... oh wait :(
