Crackdown 2 discussion

I remember getting Crackdown for the Halo 3 invitation. I assumed they had packed it into a crappy game so they could get some sales out of it. I remember playing it for about 30 minutes and thinking "HOLY S*%T!!" It was so much more than I expected.

Do want. Unlike Ironman273 I bought the original game for the game, not for the Halo 3 beta, because it looked awesome and the demo was so much fun. Glad to see there's going to be four player co-op this time round (hope they fix the lagging issues though) and I'm looking forward to seeing what other improvements they've made.

Ditto. To date, it's first or second in terms of how many gamer points I got out of it. I absolutely loved the single player.

Sounds pretty good, not too sure what to make of all the 'infected city' stuff though, seen it in Prototype, but still prefer Crackdown 1's style.

While I'm extremely excited for the game, I'm quite worried about that as well. I hope it doesn't change the whole dynamic of the game.

with Remy and Mystic on this...does every friggin game need to have zombies/infected/out of control "citizens"? What's so wrong with just a regular city like in the first Crackdown or GTAIV? are they trying to appeal to the juvenile demographic or what? as for the first Crackdown, i ended up liking it, had a very unique feel to it. the orb found sound effect certainly did grow on you, and i liked the whole matrix-esque mood it had. they should have built on this, not throw in some of the rage victims from L4D. I expect Jill Valentine and the necromorphs from Dead Space will be putting in a cameo?

is everyone forgetting that there were mutants in the first game

But that wasn't the entire focus of the game if I remember right. Didn't just one "main bad guy" have some mutants or something that attacked you when you went to kill him?

honestly i don't remember mutants, but that was two years ago now. seems like a million.

I wouldn't worry about it. As I said, they were a pretty minor part of the game.

Crackdown is so awesome, I admit I only got it for the Halo 3 beta, but as it turned out I had more fun and spent more time playing it than most other games I was actually looking forward to. I think I spent more time in Crackdown than Halo 3 even.

I still haven't even played Halo 3.

*GASP* Blasphemy! H- W- ... I can't even begin to wonder why :s Halo 3 is fantastic - round up some of your fellow 360ers and blast through the campaign before jumping into the multiplayer games.

As for Crackdown 2, I'm really looking forward to it because I thoroughly enjoyed Crackdown especially the twist at the end and I can't wait to see where the story heads and how it will unfold. I'm just waiting to see a decent pre-order and then I'll be snapping it up (Y)

Gaming isn't a religion. I haven't finished Halo 2 so I haven't played Halo 3 it's pretty much that simple. Halo 2s PC version was choppy as hell back then, so I'm hoping its better now but not expecting much. And I've got newer games to play, so it isn't a priority.
