mopper
and im sure most programs, especially agents and former agents, have their own ker and/or are able to roam freely through the corridors (hallway of doors).

Manksgloob
...while he was pulling out the bullet or when he reached in to pump her heart. That's what i thought at first..the part about pumping/sparking Trinity's heart...but then my friend pointed out how stupid that sounded..and he was right. Pumping someone's heart to get it to start again?..hmmmm... Anyways, his answer to that scene was that Neo actually rewrote the coding in that scene to restart her heart. That's why it was all in green Martix Code. Not to show his hand going into her body, but to show the actual raw coding. You could literally see the numbers flow from his hand and alter the ones in her. So by re-writing her death...he brought her back to life. heh, makes much more sense (Neo is a programmer after all) than him sticking his hand in her chest just to handpump her heart. Arnaudt
Yes ... I agree that "re-coding" Trinity makes sense. Also, unrelated - has anyone noticed that right after the meeting between Morpheus, Niobe and the other captains, when agents come in and see Neo, the first thing they say is "here is the anomaly." I think this refers to the Architect's speech ... Just pointing it out,

Oracle says that when a new programm is created the old one (which must be replaced or updated by the new one) starts to freak out. That is what Smith does by copying himself. I thought the old program just gets spooked and runs loose in the system free from the control of the machines and smith copying himself is just because he can, to get free and fight neo or whatever

TheBigLebowski
What ****es me off is how much the death of the Oracle's actress will affect the next movie; obviously, she is supposed to act in Revolutions, but she's dead, so she can't. Only way I can think of to get around this without ****ing up the plot too much is to have the oracle still around in the Revolutions, but never actually show her.On the other hand... Maybe they got one of those high-res captures of her like they did for Weaving and Reeves... Maybe they'll just fake her in Revolutions (after all, voices are easy to fake or copy.) AFAIK the last movie is already filmed.. afterall there is no way they could make another movie by november and not have it suck ass
Rob2687
yes..both movies were filmed at the same time and both essentially are 1 movie in 2 parts
tronmaster
Ok. Im back..! :) Some notes: Merovingian (I won't go into the French history regarding him in the real world.) It is interesting that Persephone tells Neo that Merovingian used to be like Neo. (Previous Neo?). Persephone has been in the Matrix so long she has forgotten about love. She asks Neo to kiss her as he would to Trinity. (Previous Trinity?) Architect. The creator of the Matrix? The movie is about choices and fate, destiny. In the first Matrix, Morpheous asks Neo if he believes in fate? Neo says no, he believes in choices but has been living a lie. Everything from The Matrix till the meeting of the Architect has been pre-determined (this is why the Oracle has an uncanny ability to know things, even Neo!). But this Neo is different he believes in two additional emotions Love and Hope. This Love and Hope causes Neo to pick the Left Door to save Trinity his love and to save all mankind, hope. He could have Reloaded himself, save 24 people and started The Matrix, Zion again like the other Neos but did not. Agent Smith a program who is set free by Neo. Not much can be told from Reloaded, but it seems Neo and Agent Smith will finally and lastly cross paths in Revolutions with all answers answered? Interesting tidbits: Zion, only the Councelors(sp.) are old. Indicating that a generation hasn't passed before The Matrix Reloads the Matrix...hmm. It is interesting to note that most of the time when Neo is in the Matrix everything is Green except Serath? Hmm... Is the Oracle, Persophone and other "rogue" programs have that color? Hmm... Loved how they used 101 all over the place.... And lastly, until I some other things to think and say. I will leave with this quote: "We are interested in mythology, theology and, to a lesser extent, higher-level mathematics" - Larry Wachowski I just love Monica Bellucci!
kylejn
He isn't in the real world, the guy he infected is a phyco in the real world (cut his hand, nervous, afraid) totally not like Smith (my favourite character in this movie). Smith is more like a suggestion in his mind/brain, wich afterall is elecricity based I believe that it is Smith. He cut his hand because he's never been "real" before and wanted to see what being alive and experiencing pain, feeling, etc was like. One of my friends came up with an interesting hypothesis: Neo can do the stuff he does in the real world because he's a machine. I dunno if I agree or not, but it's something worth thinking about. BTW, when I saw the movie yesterday, I hated it, but after reading all of these posts, it's starting to make sense and I'm starting to like it. Maybe I'll have to see it again. xp1ode
so i dont understand if Agent Smith is 'free' does this mean he is not controlled by same mainframe that controls the rest of the agents? and if is it so how come he is still trying to kill Neo? All these points you people make are very interesting and very difficult to grasp, but after watching the movie it kinda makes sense, even tho theres so many thoughts flying around. Also i think that since the thought of "a matrix within a matrix" thing is ruled out, i think that what obake suggested about Neo being a machine, this could be possible otherwise how is it that he is able to stop the sentinels? PS i just wanna say this movie is so far considered (acording to me) one of the best of the year. cant wait till Revolutions...

Diata
This Love and Hope causes Neo to pick the Left Door to save Trinity his love and to save all mankind, hope. He could have Reloaded himself, save 24 people and started The Matrix, Zion again like the other Neos but did not. is that to say he chose to save trinity to be different than the other "neo"s or did he do it out of true love? tronmaster
Oh by the way.... When Neo, Morpheous and Trinity first go and meet Merovingian and Persephone. Phinal Phantasm
Merovingian (I won't go into the French history regarding him in the real world.)? It is interesting that Persephone tells Neo that Merovingian used to be like Neo.? (Previous Neo?). The Frankish King Dagobert II, and the Merovingian dynasty from which he came, have been romantically mythologized in the annals of both local legend and modern mystical pseudo-history, but few have understood the true meaning and origins of their alluring mystery. The mystique that surrounds them includes attributions of saintliness, magical powers, and even divine origin, stemming from their supposed descent from the one and only Jesus Christ. The origins of the Merovingian race, and the mystery that surrounds them, lies ultimately with a race of beings, "Nephilim," or "Fallen Angels," who created mankind as we know him today. ----------------------------------- I totally got that from here: Here So I don't know if it's 100% right. lol
Arnaudt
tronmaster - It is interesting to note that most of the time when Neo is in the Matrix everything is Green except Serath?? Hmm...? Is the Oracle, Persophone and other "rogue" programs have that color?? Hmm...Well this is due to the fact that they're not human, they're programs of the Matrix which were to be cancelled but chose "exile" as the Oracle describes it. Persephone has been in the Matrix so long she has forgotten about love.? She asks Neo to kiss her as he would to Trinity.? (Previous Trinity?) Interesting you mention this ... I had thought of this myself - it is true that Persephone mentions that her husband "used to be like Neo", and the Merovingian does say that he survived Neo's predecessors and that he'll survive him. I don't think that they were Neo/Trinity persay but I think that the Merovingian isn't linked to the Matrix or to the machines, perhaps another "third front." This Love and Hope causes Neo to pick the Left Door to save Trinity his love and to save all mankind, hope.? He could have Reloaded himself, save 24 people and started The Matrix, Zion again like the other Neos but did not.23 people act:plly :p And yes - it's been discussed before, due to love, Neo is "different" and therefore the entire stereotypicism that the Architect tries to impose over Neo falls through and is one of the reasons why Neo concluces with "I understand.""We are interested in mythology, theology and, to a lesser extent, higher-level mathematics" - Larry Wachowski Gotta love these;)uys ;) I must admit I'm surprised how much mythology, philosophy and theology comes accross in The Matrix as a whole ... really amazing if you ask me some of the parallels these guys are able to make! I just love Monica Bellucci!?:blush:Couldn't have said it better mys:hump: :hump:Tom Servo - No I meant how can he bleed in the real world when he's a machine? Neo's not a machine ... ? He's very much human ... the fact that his powers are due to an anomaly in the code doesn't mean that he is not human in the first place, and thus can bleed etc.

The camera follows a women that is being led away from the table. Neo notices and tries to look. Anyone know who she is? Her purpose? Blah, blah... Might be important for the next movie... I'll explain. Merovingian wrote a program which is a cake that woman eats. After the first bite she starts to feel something. You can see her getting hot. Then everything is shown in the code. Later you see an explosion inside her body - an orgasm. Nice program! LOL! Thats the whole purpose of it. To show how strong Merovingian is that he can write programs and manipulate (or make fun of :D) people. Anyway, I think that chick really liked it. mackol
a mention about the few number of old ppl (councellors) in Zion was made.. i am wondering the total count - could it be 23? i do know i saw more female councellors than males ;) (16:7) a thought :)
Monte
yeah this was an awesome movie. I have a few questions though. First off, i can not find the part where neo says "I understand." If you can point me in the right direction that would be good. Second, I don't believe in the matrix in matrix idea. In the trailer for the Matrix Revolutions, the final battle is fought in the matrix, not in the "real world." Which leads me to a few points. So what if Neo can defeat the Agents, that means nothing. In order to destory the matrix he can to get to the source. So I can't see how the matrix can be destroyed.

Remember when Merovingian enters the castle with his goons and Persephone says something about him still having lipstick on him? He then wipes his mouth with his hand. It was lower down if you know what I mean :laugh:ugh: Concerning Neo stopping the machines at the end... remember from the first movie, how much electricity a human body creates? What if he was somehow changed by what happened in the matrix and was somehow able to redirect that neural energy outward in a fight or flight scenario. People have been known to lift cars off of people through a burst of adrenalin. A sudden loss of neural energy would explain the comma since that very energy is needed to regulate our nervous system. I've been known to carry static charges but nothing strong enough to short out a bunch of sentinels. No, I'm not "the one", except for that one special lady out there that I probably have not met ye:p :p Edited May 18, 2003 by aristotle-dude
