Troubles browsing from home

Recommended Posts

I've been unable to successfully browse neowin.net from home, troubleshooting i've done:

Operating systems:

Ive tried, Ubuntu 9.04 ( w/all latest patches and security updates), with Opera, and Firefox

Windows 7( 7100, 7260, and 7264), with firefox, Chrome, and IE8

Windows XP Professional SP3 ( updated with latest patches), with Chrome, FF3.5, IE6, IE7, IE8.

My ISP: Charter 5mbps down/512kbps up

Problems experienced:

Unable to load forum index link, site does not retain my login credentials, when i can bring up the forums, and click a link to a thread, the page loads partially with a "done" status in the status bar of the browser(s). Homepage is the only part that loads fine. When i am able to respond to a thread clicking the submit post button brings up the main forum index page, with no reply submitted, i've cleared cookies, cache, history, etc.

All other sites load just fine, bank of america, t-mobile.com, google.com, arxiv.org, space.com, physicsforums.com, facebook.com, myspace.com.

I can't browse Neowin at work either, ISP there is Charter, with Verizon being a fail over.

I would call Charter and ask if they block certain websites.

I experienced something similar recently, blocking e-mail and 1 Embarq website.

I went to Internet Protocol/Properties.

I had to select 'Obtain DNS server address automatically'.

That fixed the blockage. :)

Charter reports nothing on their end, this is still an issue:
