Darrian
I ordered Street Fighter IV on Steam, and it's been preloaded for days. It's bad enough that the game wasn't available to unlock on Steam at midnight (in any US time zone), now that it's finally available it will give me a key but will not load, giving me an error that it is not available. From what I can tell it simply refuses to decrypt the files (I tried launching the executables and got an error that it wasn't a valid win32 application). Anybody else running into this problem? I don't typically have any issues ordering through Steam, but I don't usually preorder, either (the last game I bought in advance was Bioshock). Guest xiphi
I'm getting this problem too. We're aren't alone.
Darrian
Thanks. A 7-page thread indicates a lot of displeased customers, which will hopefully prompt Valve to fix it. Hopefully fast. Edit: Somebody apparently got it to work by deleting gfwlivesetup.exe, SF4Launcher.exe and StreetFighterIV.exe, then verifying the cache to prompt it to redownload those files. I'm trying that now and crossing my fingers.

Guest xiphi
Yea, i'd respond to the thread, but Valve has yet to allow me since I just created an account there. Even more BS, if you ask me.
Doli
Restart Steam and it will Decrypt. Man some of the posts on the Steam Forum... A bunch of demanding crybabies who shutup when it starts working.
Darrian
Apparently it's fixed now. Restart Steam and see if it will decrypt the files; it's working for me.
Guest xiphi
Seems to be decrypting the files now after I restarted Steam. Hope it works after this.

chaos mage
I suppose this is a bad time to plug Impulse....heheh. I'd have bought it off there, but I don't really need it. Maybe soon though!
Doli
A plug for Inpulse? Steam was only a little late to hit the decrypt switch, no big deal.
chaos mage
Impulse. Stardock's download service. MUCH better client, but not as good selection yet sadly. True, honestly I think all this preorder madness just makes people more irritable when something goes wrong. I don't really care for it as it just punishes the users if something goes wrong, or if there's a patch of some sort needed. Naturally, I can understand the business reasons for it...it just doesn't seem helpful.
